happy holiday everyone. sorry, had to do a digital painting again.
painting above, inspired after my root canal.
some quick thumbnail sketches of my family members during thanksgiving dinner.
below are some film studies I've done during my free time.
these are awesome! I love the details, and color on the first one! good stuff John!
ReplyDeleteThat's really funny, I just did a study of that top one two days ago! Just a little pen study though. I do composition studies at work while waiting for renders.
ReplyDeleteGreat work - you really captured the mood in all of them
sexy!
ReplyDeletethis is incredible, dude, how do you do this things? It´s amazing.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
Nice. For the family sketches were you using tradition ink with nibs and brushes, or was that the result of some fancy brush pen? I just noticed the darks have some good old dip pen qualities/textures.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the colors and lighting happening in the second scene study.
cool, thanks for the info, I might have to hunt one of those down and check it out.

I found you Art work and blog very interesting. A lot of times on blogs you see the finished work but not how it evolves. Thank you for the insight into the process of your creativity. I have started a new addiction for me anyway, altering action figures and dolls to sell at etsy and your robots are wonderful inspiration. Your talent could only inspire and that is a wonderful thing to possess.
ReplyDeletehappy holidays john! really like the new painting! take care broda!
