Paintings/sketches =)

happy holiday everyone. sorry, had to do a digital painting again.

painting above, inspired after my root canal.
some quick thumbnail sketches of my family members during thanksgiving dinner.
below are some film studies I've done during my free time.

  2. That's really funny, I just did a study of that top one two days ago! Just a little pen study though. I do composition studies at work while waiting for renders.

  4. Nice. For the family sketches were you using tradition ink with nibs and brushes, or was that the result of some fancy brush pen? I just noticed the darks have some good old dip pen qualities/textures.

    I also really like the colors and lighting happening in the second scene study.

  21. I found you Art work and blog very interesting. A lot of times on blogs you see the finished work but not how it evolves. Thank you for the insight into the process of your creativity. I have started a new addiction for me anyway, altering action figures and dolls to sell at etsy and your robots are wonderful inspiration. Your talent could only inspire and that is a wonderful thing to possess.
